On April 10, 2019, OPPO released its first Reno series phone, the OPPO Reno. On September 10, 2019, OPPO released the OPPO Reno 2.
On December 26, 2019, OPPO released the OPPO Reno 3 and OPPO Reno 3 Pro. In June 2020, OPPO launched the OPPO Reno 4 and OPPO Reno 4 Pro.
On December 10, 2020, OPPO released the first portrait video phone in the Reno 5 series, featuring the OPPO FDF full-dimensional portrait video technology system.
On May 27, 2021, OPPO officially launched the all-new portrait video phone, the OPPO Reno 6 series, which not only advances portrait video shooting and appearance design but also offers more entertaining popular gaming experiences.
In March 2022, at the 2022 Mobile World Congress (MWC 2022), OPPO officially unveiled 240W SuperVOOC flash charging technology, which can fully charge a 4,500mAh-equivalent battery in just 9 minutes, as well as a new generation of 5G smart connectivity hub, OPPO 5G CPE T2.

OPPO has consistently placed a strong emphasis on technological innovation. As of July 2016, OPPO’s published patent applications have ranked among the top ten domestically filed applications. This marked the twelfth time that OPPO had entered this list.
As of September 5, 2016, OPPO had published a total of 8,683 patent applications. Among these, there were 7,576 invention patent applications, accounting for 87.3% of the total. OPPO’s patents primarily focus on areas such as photography, rotating cameras, VOOC flash charging, and more.
Through research and development, OPPO has initially established a global innovation system, with six major research institutes and five research and development centers. The OPPO Research Institute encompasses six research centers dedicated to exploring cutting-edge technology, while the five research and development centers focus on the commercialization of technology. The OPPO Research Institute consists of the Research Institute Headquarters, Global Research Centers, Global Joint Laboratories, and Innovation Centers. According to the China National Intellectual Property Administration’s 2020 statistics on the number of invention patents granted to Chinese enterprises, OPPO ranked second among global enterprise applicants with 3,578 granted patents. In Europe, OPPO ranked second among Chinese patent holders and in the top 20 globally with 715 patent applications.
On August 22, 2022, OPPO officially announced that its self-developed intelligent cross-device system, “Pantanar,” would be launched at the “2022 OPPO Developer Conference” on August 30, 2022. At that time, OPPO will release the all-new ColorOS 13 and the intelligent cross-device system.
