Zhongshan HOGXU Furniture Co., Ltd. is located in Dachong Town, a professional town for the production of Chinese mahogany furniture with a high degree of clustering and a large industrial scale among traditional furniture production enterprises in China. In 1997, out of the love for mahogany furniture, a group of young craftsmen founded HOGXU. With exquisite craftsmanship and extraordinary aesthetic taste, it has developed rapidly. At present, HOGXU’s products sell well all over China, and there are more than 100 exclusive stores and dealerships in China.
HOGXU inherits the ancient people’s complex for mahogany, positions itself in high-end mahogany furniture, respects and reveres mahogany as this precious resource, carefully selects every inch of wood, and works meticulously. Making the past serve the present, not confined to tradition, and organically combines traditional elements with modern craftsmanship. It has successfully developed three series of products, namely “Hongshang”, “Guyu”, and “Xuanyun”, and has been greatly recognized in the market and by consumers. It has successively developed more than one hundred exclusive stores of HOGXU mahogany furniture.
In 2001, HOGXU joined forces with the Zhongshan Mahogany Furniture Technology Engineering Research and Development Center. HOGXU invested in building the “Timber Drying Center in Dachong Town, Zhongshan City”. The “Drying Center” scientifically applied “modern intelligent control devices”, “modern timber drying equipment”, and “modern timber drying technology” to tropical hardwoods, and developed an automated timber drying device that can dry more than one hundred kinds of tropical hardwoods, realizing the centralized utilization of resources and solving the difficult problem of drying tropical hardwoods, providing a strong scientific and technological backing support for the scientific development of the industry.
In 2003, facing the situation of resource shortage and lack of successor in the development of the mahogany industry. HOGXU went global, established a timber base and logistics center in Africa, developed and promoted new types of timber, opened up and integrated the entire industrial chain, and made forward-looking layouts for the sustainability of the industry, thus winning another development and takeoff.
In 2002, HOGXU was the first to put forward the concept of “New Chinese-style Mahogany Furniture” in the industry. It is committed to creating another peak after Ming and Qing furniture, designing and developing mahogany furniture with the brand of the times, and creating a lifestyle that belongs to contemporary Chinese people. For more than ten years, it has been sparing no effort to deeply promote “New Chinese-style Mahogany Furniture” day in and day out. In 2008, it held the “HOGXU Cup New Chinese-style Mahogany Furniture Design Competition”. So far, it has successfully held thirteen consecutive competitions without interruption. It has become a competition with a relatively high level, a large number of participants, a high level of submitted works, and a high amount of bonuses in the same category. It is known as the “Whampoa Military Academy for New Chinese-style Furniture Designers” and the “Star-making Factory”, cultivating and transporting a large number of talents for the industry and effectively promoting the development of the industry. Today, “New Chinese-style Mahogany Furniture” has become the mainstream of the industry. From being unrecognized at the beginning to blooming everywhere now, HOGXU has proven its vision, courage, and pattern! HOGXU has always been closely associated with “New Chinese-style Furniture” and has become the recognized New Chinese-style mahogany furniture in the industry.
Based on its own years of accumulation and the sense of responsibility for social missions, HOGXU has always been committed to giving back to society. It successively undertook the design and production of the main torch in the Ninth National Games in 2001 and the national gift presented by the General Administration of Sport of China to Mr. Rogge, the then President of the International Olympic Committee, at the 16th Guangzhou Asian Games in 2010. HOGXU’s wonderful appearances can be seen on many important occasions at home and abroad, bravely taking on responsibilities and fulfilling its missions.
As early as 2005 and 2008, HOGXU actively participated in the formulation and revision of industry and national standards, and became the main drafting unit of the “Standard for Dark Precious Hardwoods” (industry standard) and the “General Technical Conditions Standard for Mahogany Furniture” (national standard).
