Brand Introduction:
HONOR was established on December 16, 2013, and has been dedicated to an internet-based, asset-light innovation model. In 2017, HONOR achieved impressive results with 54.5 million units sold and 78.9 billion yuan in sales revenue, securing the top position in China’s internet smartphone market.

In 2020, HONOR initiated its “Dual-Core Rocket” strategy, aiming to become one of the top two brands in China’s smartphone market and the number one brand in the smart full-scenario market. On November 10 of the same year, Reuters reported that Huawei planned to sell the HONOR brand to the Shenzhen government and Shenzhen Digital China Group for 100 billion yuan in an all-cash transaction. This sale would cover almost all of HONOR’s assets, including its brand, research and development capabilities, and supply chain management.

HONOR Sale:
On November 17, 2020, Huawei Investment & Holding Co., Ltd. decided to sell the entire business assets of HONOR (formerly a Huawei subsidiary). The buyer was Shenzhen Zhixin New Information Technology Co., Ltd. After the transfer, Huawei no longer held any shares in HONOR, and was not involved in its operations or decision-making. More than 30 HONOR agents and distributors jointly initiated this acquisition, which was seen as a self-rescue effort by the HONOR-related industry chain.
