INSPUR Group Limited, also known as INSPUR Group, is one of China’s leading large-scale IT enterprises and a prominent provider of cloud computing and big data services in China. On October 26, 2022, the AlgoINSPUR INSPURTech Park project was officially launched. With a total investment of up to 2.5 billion RMB, this project represents another significant step for INSPUR Group in Shandong.
INSPUR Group is recognized as an innovative enterprise by the Chinese Ministry of Science and Technology. It houses the Chinese national key laboratories for efficient servers and storage technology within the IT field. Additionally, INSPUR Group operates the largest and most advanced flexible server production line and research center in the Asia-Pacific region. It has received certification as a national-level enterprise technology center and a national-level enterprise postdoctoral workstation. INSPUR Group is also among the first batch of key software companies in China’s national planning layout. Moreover, it has established technical research and development centers in Hong Kong, Japan, and Silicon Valley, USA.
In 2009, INSPUR Group’s TS10000 high-performance servers were exported to Saudi Arabia, marking the first overseas export of Chinese-branded servers and entering the global market to compete with European and American manufacturers.
The development of “key technologies for massive storage systems” has contributed to bringing China’s core host equipment to the forefront of the international arena. With the deep implementation of China’s strategy for building an innovative nation, INSPUR Group established an efficient server and storage laboratory, undoubtedly boosting its further development.
In January 2013, China’s first high-end server, the INSPUR Silk K1 system, was officially launched, signaling China as the third country globally, after the United States and Japan, to master next-generation host technology. The research results for the INSPUR Silk K1 system, which cost 750 million RMB and took four years to complete, included the development of a “dual-wing scalable multiprocessor tightly coupled shared memory architecture” and a “three-level directory two-level cache coherency domain protocol.” INSPUR Group also developed an integrated fault-tolerant technology system and successfully produced core components such as the processor collaborative chipset and China’s first Unix operating system certified with Unix 03. This established a relatively complete independent technical system.
In December 2016, INSPUR Group’s next-generation critical application host, the INSPUR Silk M13, was officially launched. This system is China’s independently developed single-server system with the highest online transaction processing performance, designed for large-scale database applications for banks, government agencies, and major enterprises with exceptional stability and availability requirements. The INSPUR Silk M13 can scale to over 1,000 computing cores, has 48TB of memory, and can process billions of transactions in a single day.
