Established in 1989 in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada, ARC’TERYX has affiliated production facilities in New Zealand, Vietnam, China, and other locations. However, the company’s headquarters, design studio, and primary production workshops remain in Vancouver. Its products are widely used in activities such as climbing and hiking. Thanks to its relentless pursuit of new techniques and technologies, it has grown in a matter of a few decades to become a recognized leader in the outdoor industry in North America and globally, particularly in the fields of clothing and backpacks. Its product range primarily covers hiking, climbing, and winter sports.

The parent company of ARC’TERYX, Amer Sports Corporation, is headquartered in Helsinki, Finland. Founded in 1950, it started as an industrial company and began entering the sports business in 1974. It has since evolved into a multinational corporation engaged in sports equipment manufacturing and marketing.

On February 25, 2019, ANTA Sports announced the acquisition of the parent company of ARC’TERYX, Amer Sports Corporation. The offeror had received necessary approval from the Mexican Federal Economic Competition Commission to complete the acquisition. With this approval, the consortium led by ANTA obtained all the official approvals required for the acquisition of the Finnish sports brand Amer Sports.
