TSINGTAO Brewery Co., Ltd. (referred to as “TSINGTAO Beer”) traces its roots back to the German-British joint venture, the German Brewery Company TSINGTAO Limited, established in TSINGTAO in August 1903. It is one of China’s oldest beer manufacturers. Presently, the brand’s value is 163.772 billion RMB, and it has held the top position in the Chinese beer industry for 16 consecutive years.
On July 15, 1993, TSINGTAO Beer’s stock (0168) was listed on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange, and on August 27 of the same year, TSINGTAO Beer (600600) was listed on the Shanghai Stock Exchange, becoming one of the early companies to be simultaneously listed in both places.
As of the end of 2020, TSINGTAO Beer possesses over 60 beer production companies across 20 provinces, municipalities, and autonomous regions, holding a leading position in terms of company scale and market share within China’s beer industry.
In 2020, the company achieved a total beer sales volume of 78.2 million hectoliters, generated an operating revenue of 27.76 billion RMB, and achieved a net profit attributable to shareholders of the listed company of 2.2 billion RMB, marking an 18.9% year-on-year growth. The net profit attributable to shareholders of the listed company, excluding non-recurring gains and losses, saw an impressive growth rate of 34.79%. In 2020, TSINGTAO Beer achieved new highs in both net profit attributable to shareholders and net profit excluding non-recurring gains and losses since its listing.
Presently, TSINGTAO Beer exports its products to more than 100 countries and regions around the world, including the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, France, Germany, Italy, Australia, South Korea, Japan, Denmark, and Russia. It stands as the world’s fifth-largest beer manufacturer.
