Heilongjiang Beidahuang Rice Industry Group Co., Ltd. was registered and established on August 27, 2001, with its headquarters located in the beautiful city of Harbin.
In November 2003, with the approval of the China Securities Regulatory Commission, the company was successfully acquired by China’s largest agricultural listed company, Beidahuang Agriculture Group (stock code: 600598), with a 98.55% stake. This marked the presence of Beidahuang Rice Industry in China’s capital market.
The company has 35 rice processing plants in the main production area, including Sanjiang, Youyi, and Weixing, with seven of them having a production capacity of 300,000 tons or more. It has established seven regional sales companies in the main sales area and also controls a trading company in Dalian and an offshore company in Hong Kong. The company’s registered capital is 510 million yuan and ranks among the top 50 in China’s rice processing industry. It has been selected as one of China’s first demonstration enterprises for safe grain and oil and has been the “leader in China’s industrial industry” for multiple consecutive years. The company has obtained ISO9001, ISO14001, and ISO22000 certifications for quality, environmental, and food safety international standards, and it has significant advantages in terms of scale, base, brand, technology, and green products.
The company’s main business areas include the rice industry, with a focus on small-packaged rice and high-end rice, supported by raw grain trading and offshore finance and financial derivatives as secondary sectors. The company has driven the increase in production and income for 80,000 farmers. The “Beidahuang” brand series of rice produced by the company has been recognized as a Chinese famous brand product and the most competitive brand product in the market, becoming the “trusted rice” on the kitchen tables of ordinary people.
The company actively fulfills its corporate social responsibility, successfully completing various tasks related to safeguarding national food security and food safety. During the fight against SARS in 2003, the company created a miracle by urgently shipping 20,000 tons of high-quality rice to the capital within 7 days, quickly alleviating the food shortage in the capital and ensuring market stability. In support of the earthquake-stricken areas in Wenchuan, Sichuan in 2008, the company once again took on its social responsibility and processed and shipped 2,400 tons of rice within 48 hours. During the critical drought in five southwestern provinces in 2010, the company urgently transported 10,506 tons of rice to the disaster-stricken area in Sichuan.
The company has a clear strategic path of “industrialization, capitalization, and internationalization” and is supported by strategic measures such as “optimizing institutional mechanisms, building a talent team, implementing base construction, optimizing risk control, and cultivating corporate culture.” It has achieved the status of China’s top agricultural brand.
