Established in 1996, Marco Polo Ceramics is a prominent manufacturer and distributor of architectural ceramics in China, providing high-quality decorative materials and comprehensive solutions for the entire spatial domain. Their product range covers matte tiles, polished tiles, glazed tiles, interior wall porcelain tiles, microcrystalline stones, hand-carved tiles, and more. Since the early 1990s, they have successively developed high-quality products such as “E Stone Era,” “Chinese Impressions,” geological stone, real stone, rock panels, and other exceptional products.
With a mission to create the first globally renowned brand in Chinese ceramics, Marco Polo Ceramics is owned by Marco Polo Holdings Co., Ltd., which stands as one of China’s powerful architectural ceramics manufacturers and distributors.
Marco Polo Ceramics has established five major production bases globally, located in Dongguan and Qingyuan in Guangdong, Fengcheng in Jiangxi, Rongchang in Chongqing, and overseas. Their intelligent manufacturing, digital management, and various indicators have reached international advanced levels, earning them the distinction of a national-level “Green Factory.” The company has comprehensively passed the national 3C system certification and EU CE certification. It has also created two national-level industry innovation and design platforms, eight provincial-level innovation platforms, and a post-doctoral workstation. It was one of the first companies in the industry to pass the CNAS national laboratory certification and holds five high-tech enterprise titles. The company’s technological achievements in 28 areas are at an international advanced or leading level, including six assessed at the leading international level and 22 at the advanced international level. With a focus on ceramic production, Marco Polo Ceramics introduced the first non-slip tile and antique tile in the early 1990s, enhancing brand visibility. Emphasizing technical innovation and product renewal, they developed high-quality products leading industry trends such as “E Stone Era,” “Chinese Impressions,” geological stone, real stone, and rock panels. Currently, their product range includes matte tiles, polished tiles, glazed tiles, interior wall porcelain tiles, ceramic rock panels, and granite, covering all categories. The “Marco Polo Rock Panel” series offers outstanding performance, with their independently developed curved rock panel capable of bending up to 120°. To promote rock panel adoption and application across spaces, Marco Polo participated as the lead contributor to the establishment of industry standards such as T-GBMA001-2019 “Technical Regulations for Ceramic Large Slab Construction,” CECS standard “Technical Regulations for Ceramic Large Slab Hanging Engineering,” and “Ceramic Tiles (Slabs) for Prefabricated Buildings.”
As one of the early brand-oriented enterprises in the architectural ceramics industry, Marco Polo Ceramics established its first brand-exclusive store in 1998. In 2006, it initiated a new era in terminal construction by establishing the first Marco Polo Supreme Hall. To date, Marco Polo Ceramics has built thousands of exclusive stores domestically and internationally, creating a three-dimensional marketing network. Their products are exported to over 130 countries and regions globally. They’ve been involved in major national projects such as the Olympics, World Expos, the Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge, Beijing Daxing International Airport, Dunhuang International Convention and Exhibition Center, and iconic buildings like Beijing China Zun, Shanghai International Financial Center, and Guangzhou West Tower. They are a strategic cooperative brand for real estate companies such as Poly, China Merchants, Vanke, and China Overseas.
Upholding cultural innovation to lead high-quality brand development, the China Building Ceramics Museum settled at Marco Polo Ceramics’ headquarters in 2007. The company independently developed cultural ceramic products to empower commercial landmarks and municipal projects. Additionally, Marco Polo Ceramics supports China’s sports industry, sponsoring the CBA Shenzhen Marco Polo Team in 2007, pioneering sports marketing in the home industry. Since 2010, they established the Marco Polo Charity Fund, focusing on improving the growth environment for children in impoverished areas. They’ve also established “Marco Polo Ceramic Tile Love Libraries” nationwide. The brand has participated several times as a tile cooperation brand on CCTV’s financial channel’s “Secret Transformation” program, paying tribute to exemplary figures such as COVID-19 heroes, conveying positive social energy. In recent years, in response to the recurring COVID-19 pandemic, Marco Polo Ceramics established a special task force, actively supporting pandemic control efforts in Hubei, Henan, Hong Kong, Shanghai, Hainan, and more by making multiple donations, contributing to the fight against the pandemic.
