The Zhangxiaoquan brand became famous in 1628 (the first year of the Chongzhen Emperor of the Ming Dynasty) and is an old and esteemed Chinese brand, as well as a well-known trademark in China’s scissors industry. In 2002, it passed the ISO9001 quality management system certification and also obtained the protection of the designation of origin. Its products include over 100 types and 400 specifications across several series: household scissors, agricultural and gardening scissors, tailor’s scissors, beauty and hairdressing scissors, travel and gift scissors, and a range of knives.

Zhangxiaoquan has repeatedly won international awards for its excellent product quality and received the grand prize at the Panama-Pacific International Exposition in 1915. In 2006, the scissor forging technique of Zhangxiaoquan was listed by the State Council of China as a national intangible cultural heritage.

Today, the Zhangxiaoquan Yangjiang Intelligent Manufacturing Center project has been established in the Yueling Science and Technology Industrial Park in Jiangcheng District, Yangjiang. The project covers an area of 86,000 square meters and involves a total investment of over 350 million yuan. After the project is put into operation, it will achieve an annual output of over 30 million pieces. The project will mainly construct a production workshop for high-level scissors, warehouses, a research and development center, a testing center, a comprehensive office building, and supporting staff dormitories, and will install new and advanced intelligent production equipment. The main products will include industrial scissors, gardening scissors, household scissors, knives, and plastic products. Once completed, it will be able to further promote the enterprise’s transformation and upgrading and drive the related industrial chain enterprises in Jiangcheng District to achieve new development.
