Founded in 1988, it’s one of the earliest established stationary suppliers in China, mastering the core technologies of pen-making across all stages. They integrate stationary R&D, production, and sales, covering products like rollerball pens, gel pens, ballpoint pens, markers, whiteboard pens, and highlighters.
Qingdao Changlong Stationery Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as “Snowhite Stationery”) was established in May 1988, covering an area of 77,000 square meters. They mainly produce a series of stationery under the “Snowhite” brand, focusing on rollerball pens, gel pens, ballpoint pens, markers, whiteboard pens, and highlighters. The company integrates R&D, production, and sales as a comprehensive stationery manufacturing enterprise.
After more than thirty years of development, Snowhite Stationery has achieved remarkable results in the field of pen-making. They have grasped core technologies in mold design and manufacturing, ink penhead development, and equipment production. Their mold-making skills are approaching the top-level standards of Japanese companies. With the vision of “becoming a valuable global pen-making enterprise”, Snowhite Stationery is advancing with the times, continuously innovating, introducing new concepts, methods, and tools in business management, laying a solid foundation for the company’s development in the new era. In recent years, they have been promoting green design production, introducing lean production management, promoting the construction and upgrading of intelligent manufacturing platforms, and considering these as their direction for future years.
Snowhite Stationery has established a green design database, identifying prohibited and restricted substances. During the new product development process, they conduct a lifecycle analysis assessment, verification, and confirmation. They manage material safety control from the aspects of supplier development, sample verification, incoming inspection, etc. Starting from product processes, production processes, and production equipment, they reduce material wastage, pollutant emissions, and energy consumption, thereby decreasing environmental pollution. They also develop products with replaceable bags and larger capacities to reduce waste of plastic materials. They have set up a project management office to oversee the energy consumption of various production departments and carry out technical transformations of high-energy-consuming equipment. Their energy-saving and consumption-reducing work will operate sustainably.
In 2018 and 2019, Snowhite Stationery built an integrated intelligent manufacturing project for rollerball pens and markers, establishing the pen industry’s first automation production unit from raw materials to finished products. Injection molding, printing, assembly, and packaging are all achieved using advanced international equipment, seamlessly integrating from components to finished products. This revolutionized the pen manufacturing technology, breaking away from the previous mode of independent operations and large-scale material storage and transfer between operations.
In July 2020, Snowhite Stationery launched the ERP&MES project, upgrading SAP ECC to the S/4 HANA system, while introducing the PPDS module and the MES project. Through ERP resource allocation, lean production, and on-site MES management, the intelligent manufacturing project has now achieved automatic data collection, material transmission, operation monitoring, and task dispatching. After the implementation of the project, the overall operation level and competitiveness of the company have greatly improved.
