BabyElephant is a maternal and child care brand under Shanghai Shangmei Cosmetics Co., Ltd., established in 2015. Since 2019, it has become the top maternal and child care brand in market share. It is dedicated to producing professional maternal and child skincare products suitable for Chinese infant and child skin. With four main product lines – infant and child wash and bath, infant and child skincare, maternity series, and general line, it provides one-stop care for the entire maternal and child care cycle, conveying scientific parenting concepts.

In 2019, BabyElephant expanded its product line, creating a full range of products that both mothers and babies love, and firmly secured the top spot in the maternal and child cosmetics category in the Tmall flagship store.

Research and development are the core competencies of the parent company, Shangmei Group. The company has established a comprehensive, robust R&D system, industry-leading basic R&D capabilities, mature technology platforms and R&D management processes, and advanced equipment and instruments.

Shangmei Group started its independent R&D layout in 2003, setting up two major research centers and two major supply chains worldwide.
