Holiland was born in Lanzhou, China in September 1992, and later moved its headquarters to Beijing. It is now a large food retail chain brand with over a hundred million yuan in fixed assets, over seven thousand employees, and three holding companies: Beijing Holiland Enterprise Investment Management Co., Ltd., Beijing Holiland Industry and Trade Co., Ltd., and Beijing Holiland Trading Co., Ltd. The founder and current CEO is the well-known photographer Luo Hong.
After years of hard work, Holiland has evolved into a major food retail chain enterprise specializing in the production and operation of cakes, bread, pastries, Chinese pastries, coffee drinks, mooncakes, tangyuan, zongzi, and other products. It has nearly a thousand directly operated chain stores in over 80 major cities in China, as well as large modern food industrial parks in Beijing, Tianjin, and Shenyang, employing thousands of high-quality staff.
Holiland’s core business consists of two main parts:
- Bakery Chain System: Operates through a chain of stores, primarily selling products such as birthday cakes, pastries, Chinese pastries, bread, and more. It has established a huge chain operation system with nearly a thousand chain stores in over 80 major cities nationwide.
- Packaged Food Manufacturing System: Mainly produces Holiland brand mooncakes and other packaged foods. It has large modern food factories in Beijing and Shenyang. The production facilities of the two food factories are designed according to the GMP standards of the international pharmaceutical industry, using a fully enclosed air conditioning purification system, achieving an air purification index of 100,000 levels. Simultaneously, they have the most advanced imported production lines in the country, a scientific production process, and a strict quality control system, making them a landmark factory in the domestic food industry. In 2002, Shenyang began the construction of a large food industrial park covering over 30,000 square meters, with a designed annual production capacity of 5 billion yuan.
Over the years, Holiland has maintained its position as an industry leader in rapid development. In 2000, it was listed as a “Key Protected Brand” by the China Famous Brand Products Market Protection Survey. In 2002, it became the first enterprise in the food industry to be awarded the “3.15 Mark” by the China Consumers Association and obtained ISO9000:2000 quality management system certification. In 2003, it obtained HACCP food safety system certification and was approved by the National Food Quality Supervision and Inspection Center for full-process tracking of mooncake production in the food industry. It was authorized to label its product packaging with the words “Guaranteed by the National Food Quality Supervision and Inspection Center.” From 2002 to 2004, leveraging its strong capabilities, Holiland maintained its position as the national champion in mooncake and cake sales.
