New Hope Group was founded in 1982 as a privately-owned enterprise group focused on modern agriculture, animal husbandry, and food industries. It holds a leading position in the feed and poultry processing sectors, and is one of China’s most influential suppliers of meat, eggs, and dairy products. Under its umbrella are well-known brands like “Guo Xiong,” “Mei Hao,” “Liu He,” “Qian Xi,” and “Ben Xiang.” The group has diversified into various related industries such as agribusiness, dairy products, fast-moving consumer goods, smart urban-rural integration, and financial investments.

Since its inception, New Hope Group has evolved through the waves of reform, becoming one of China’s largest integrated suppliers of feed, meat, eggs, and dairy products. Over its more than 40 years of development, the group has expanded vertically and horizontally within the agricultural sector, forming a comprehensive industrial ecosystem including agribusiness, dairy products, fast-moving consumer goods, smart urban-rural integration, and financial investments. With over 600 subsidiaries worldwide, more than 135,000 employees, and assets exceeding 340 billion RMB, the group achieved sales revenue of over 270 billion RMB in 2022.

From 1994, when Mr. Liu Yonghao pioneered the “Brilliant Project” for poverty alleviation, to 2021, when the “55 Project” was initiated in collaboration with the “Yonghao Charity Foundation” to support the national rural revitalization strategy, New Hope Group has consistently focused on rural development and people’s livelihoods, striving to be a pioneer in rural revitalization.
